Almost 5 weeks ago my daughter Alexandra was born. I was curious to see how our 2 yellow labs (mother: Sadie, daughter: Faith) and 3 cats (Puck, Moses, & Sierra) would react to her arrival. I had my husband bring a blanket home from the hospital with Alex's scent on it so that they could ease into her arrival. When I brought her home I left her in her carseat and let everyone sniff her. Everyone was calm and accepting until the first cry! The dogs thought they did something wrong and were scared. The cats were more curious than ever. Since that day Sadie takes a motherly role and watches over Alex (see picture). Faith could care less about her, and the 3 cats want to conquer her nursery. The first night I had Alex in her crib she woke up crying. I went in to see what was wrong and Moses was in the crib with her. Since that event I have kept the door to her nursery shut at all times.
Blogging is not my "thing" so I hope someone enjoys this post.
Thanks,
Courtney
